Usernames
Usernames in Vault are no longer case sensitive. This improvement will reduce unsuccessful login attempts by ensuring that, regardless of letter case, the system recognizes your information.
Accessibility Improvements
The Vault UI has undergone a full audit and is undergoing important improvements to ensure that our site is accessible to everyone. We are actively working to improve and maintain accessibility across our website. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A, as published by the W3C. Important recent improvements include:
- Keyboard navigation across all site pages and functionality.
- Improved alternate text for site readers.
- Enhanced color contrast to improve navigation.
For details regarding Vault’s commitment to accessibility, see Vault Accessibility Statement.
Deposit File-Registration
Verifying the safety and integrity of the materials deposited into your Vault account is a top priority. We’ve improved how and when information is registered for each file in a deposit. These improvements will enable better troubleshooting, file verification, and integrity assurance.
