Requesting a Collection Export

Overview of Bulk File Exports

Vault supports bulk file exports at the folder and collection levels, allowing you to retrieve copies of your stored materials when needed.

In some cases, you may need to export materials to restore local storage after equipment failure, natural disasters, or other system disruptions. This article explains how to request a bulk export from Vault.

About Bulk File Exports

You can request a bulk export of materials by folder or by collection. If you need to export folders from multiple collections, you’ll need to submit a separate export request for each collection.

Once submitted, your request is received by the Vault team, who will package your materials for delivery. A member of the Vault team will contact you within three business days to coordinate access to your export.

Most exports are delivered via a download link sent to the email address associated with your Vault account. For particularly large exports, alternative delivery methods may be required depending on the size of the data.

How to Request a Bulk File Export

From the Collections page, navigate to the collection or folder you want to export, then:

  1. Select the desired collection or folder.

  2. Click Export from the action menu.

  3. Confirm the location of the materials you’re requesting. The selected location appears at the top of the confirmation dialog in BOLD.

  4. Click Request at the bottom of the screen to submit your request to the Vault team.
